Iran to help rebuild Lebanon: Iranian VP

Visiting Iranian vice president Ali Saeedlou said here on Tuesday that Iran would do its endeavor to help rebuild Lebanon.
"We have come as an official delegation to say that we in the Islamic Republic of Iran put all resources at the disposal of Lebanon's reconstruction and development process," Saeedlou told reporters after his meeting with Lebanese officials.
He added that "We discussed with Lebanese officials how Iran can participate in rebuilding infrastructure in Lebanon, including schools, roads and places of worship that were damaged and destroyed in the Israeli aggression."
Meanwhile, Saeedlou said his meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora was positive, saying "With all honesty, during my meeting with Siniora I heard only positive indications, understanding and readiness to cooperate whether in the reconstruction stage or in enhancing bilateral cooperation."
Saeedlou, who said he was on a "solidarity" visit, met with Lebanese President Emile Lahoud, Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri over ways Iran could help rebuild Lebanon after more than a month of Israeli bombardment.

West Invited to Participate in Iran's Nuclear Projects

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran Tuesday extended an invitation to western companies to participate in its nuclear projects, a sign that it will not budge from its decision to continue nuclear activities for peaceful purposes.
Chairman of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Ala'oddin Baroujerdi, however, said that if these parties were unwilling to do so, then the Islamic Republic should be left alone to continue the projects, a Bernama report said. "We have had the approval of another 21 thousand megawatts of nuclear power plants approved by Parliament that will be built in the next 20 years. "(The) international tenders for building two of these nuclear power plants have been presented, and we are willing to see western companies participate in these projects. "However, should they not be interested, the projects should not be stopped and we shall definitely be involved in the construction of what we need for ourselves in the future." Boroujerdi said the above to reporters after paying a courtesy call on Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib at his office in Parliament here.

Time for the West to mop up the mess after the Cold War

In this cartoon, the great Cox & Forkum have so beautifully and brilliantly summed up the West’s relationship with the Mullahs of Iran. The greedy West[1] just cannot let go of the investment opportunities in the Islamic Republic despite the fact the regime is a “strategic threat”. The poisoned apple is far too tempting.

For the past 27 years the West has helped the Islamic regime to gain strength despite their atrocities against its own people. This was initially because of the close proximity of Iran to the Soviet Union and Communism. Did the West have intelligence tip-offs in the mid to late 70s that the Soviet Union was planning to invade Iran and Afghanistan? Did the fall of the Shah’s regime, instigated by the Carter administration have anything to do with this threat? This sounds pretty close to the truth. The Shah of Iran never really suppressed Islam in Iran despite the fact they were a huge obstacle and hindrance to his modernisation program. The Shah of Iran kept Islam strong in Iran to ward off Communism. This was mostly due to the pressure from the U.S.A. However, when the Communist threat became imminent, his regime, despite being pro-Western was regarded too weak to deal with that threat and was hence brought down. The Islamic regime was put in place to ensure Communism never got a foothold in Iran. After the Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan, the Taliban fundamentalist forces, despite being anti-Western and having medieval values, were armed, trained and supported by the US to fight the Soviet Union. And Khomeini executed hundreds of Communist supporters, advocates and leaders in Iran.

The reality is that the situation has now changed. The Soviet Communism is well defeated and has no real prospects in Iran. However, it now seems the West is pretty much gripped by the side effect of its own previous foreign policies. Ahmadinejad explicitly expresses the regime’s goals and strategies, which are to “wipe Israel off the map”, “export the Iranian revolution” and “prepare the ground for the return of Mahdi” and in order to achieve these, the Islamic regime is pursuing nuclear bombs, and yet the West seems too hesitant to take any real and serious actions against the real threat the free world is facing.

It is foolish to continue to believe that this regime is reformable and to believe that because Hashemi Rafsanjani is a big investor himself with multi-million Dollar investments around the world, the Islamic regime is pro-western. Let us understand and accept that the Islamic regime in Iran is an ideology that wants to rule the world with its own pre-medieval and 7th century Islamic values. It is a tragic mistake to believe that Mullahs like Khatami or Rafsanjani who seem to be moderate and capitalists will save the day for us. These people derive their authorities and power from Islam. Hashemi Rafsanjani has built his empire by Mafia style operations based on Islam. Without Islam they are nobodies in Iran. Khatami and Rafsanjani cannot get rid of Islamic fascism: they are part of it. It was once rumoured that Khatami at the height of his deceitful presidency and popularity, had suggested that Valih-e-Faghih (leadership) should be dissolved and the ultimate power should be given to the Majlis (parliament) or the president. He immediately reiterated his allegiance to Khamenei and announced that he is loyal to the Islamic dictatorial constitution and Valih—e-Faghih (Khamenei). It is a well-established fact that the reformists in Iran cannot purge Iran of Islamic fascism. So long as they are deriving their authorities and power from Islam they will have to accommodate people like Khamenei, Ahmadinejad and their ilk. Islamic fascists will always rule Iran unless Islam and religion are separated from politics in Iran and the Islamic fascists are dealt with appropriately.

For the past 27 years, the greedy elements of the West have been munching the poisoned apple and now the reality of “Islamic fascism” has finally dawned upon us all.

When we were at war, the Cold War, with the Soviet Union, we were protecting our Capitalist system. Naturally, the commanders and generals of that Cold War were our big investors and corporations. We (our corporations) finally crippled economically and thus defeated the old Soviet Union Communism. Our corporations saved the Capitalist system and as ancillary to that they saved our democratic and liberal values. We have a clear and well-established strategy that will defeat Communism anytime and anywhere hands down.

The West’s new enemy, "Islamic fascism”, is not an economic enemy and that is why we cannot trust our investors and corporations to win this battle: they are incompetent to devise a proper strategy because defeating Islamic fascism (Islamic regime) has a huge price tag – a price tag unaffordable. It means giving up great investment opportunities. The Islamic Republic has had no qualms about foreign investments in Iran and in fact has encouraged it since the early days. This makes it very confusing for the West to figure out how to deal with the Islamic regime and its “strategic threat”. It seems the sweet smelling carrot in one hand of the Islamic fascist is far too tempting for those greedy elements in the West to pay any serious attention to the nuclear stick in the other.
Let us take our investments out of Iran. Let us reject the Islamic regimein its entirety. Let us, for once, put our democratic, liberal and modern values before our Capitalist values. Help Iran to rid itself of fundamentalism and fascism. Help Iran to become part of the free and democratic world. This is a much wiser long term investment not only for the West and Western values but also for the world as a whole.

Today, the Arak Heavy water roduction plant will be officially opened for full production by Ahmadi Nejad.

ISNA reported in its Farsi section that the Arak heavy water production plant, one of the biggest projects in nuclear technology in Iran, the construction of which started in 1998, will be officially opened for full operation today by Ahmadi nejad and Aghazadeh, the head of Iranian Nuclear Project.

ISNA reports that Saeedi, the deputy for the International Atomic Energy announced the news adding that the inauguration of this heavy water plant will be instrumental in our nuclear technology and our domestic industries and demonstrates our scientists’ progress in this field.
Saeedi further stated “the heavy water producing plant in Arak is a branch of our nuclear science, which will also help our medical science in controlling cancer and AIDS. It will cool and slow down the heavy water reactors.”

I guess this is the announcement we were waiting for. The Islamic regime is another step closer to the bomb and yet the greedy West keeps succumbing to the temptations of trading with a regime that is identified as a "strategic threat".

پاسارگاد به زیر آب رفت یا اگر تاکنون نرفته وقتی بره اینجوری میشه

MehrNews.com, one of regime’s news agencies has just reported in its Farsi section (but not in English) that within the next few days the regime will announce a major breakthrough in its nuclear activities.

Mehrnews.com reports that according to their source, the breakthrough as the result of Iranian nuclear scientist’s research is of a huge importance and implications vis-à-vis the upcoming negotiations. The source declined to give further details and stated that the news will be announced by a regime's high-ranking office-holder soon.

Is this true? Is this a leak? Or is this a bluff to put pressure on the 5+1 to consider the regime’s proposals before the deadline? I think the later is closer to the truth. I hope I am right!

Dear Reverend Canon John L. Peterson

Re: the invitation of Mohammad Khatami

I hope you realise the ramification of this rather untimely invitation. It is important that you realise that none of the self-appointed rulers in Iran truly represent Islam, Muslims or Iranians for that matter. They are a bunch of criminal lunatics. Their atrocities are well documented and you surely must be aware of them. Mohammad Khatami is a smiling charlatan and fascist just the same as Khamenei and Ahmadinejad and the rest of them. Don’t be fooled by his rhetoric “Cultural Dialogue”. This is just another Mullah policy to divert the West’s attention from their main purpose in life, which is to obtain the atomic bomb to annihilate the Western values or “decadence and infidelity” as they call it, and to impose their medieval Islamic laws upon every living creature on this planet.

At a time when the world is concerned about the Islamic regime’s defiance of the call to halt their nuclear activities, inviting one of them to the U.S.A. is a foolish act that will only strengthen their position in this matter. The Islamic regime in Iran is a dictatorial theocracy. Please understand this simple and well-documented fact. What you and I understand from “cultural dialogue” is completely different to the one Khatami talks about. The Islamic regime has no respect for the persian culture. Then how on earth do you believe Khatami's rhetoric? Do some research and find out first that you both have the same understanding of “cultural dialogue” and the same goals, before embarking on such important moves as inviting a charlatan and a partner-in-crime Mullah for talks.

Cancel your invitation at once before you cause the regime to take another step closer to the atomic bomb.
