Mr Obama please tell me how are you going to put an end to terrorism?

Ayatullah Khamenei's reply to Obama's Norooz message to the Iranian people and the regime was immediate. Khamenei said Inter Alia: " [We] don't see any real change in America's behaviour toward Iran, when we see that we will change our behaviour toward America." Khamenei did not take his time to consider Obama's offer. That alone should indicate to Obama that his proposed negotiations are going to be tough. Khamenei's position is very clear: He cannot compromise with the U.S.A. His stance on America cannot not change. The chants of "death to America" is not going to ever stop as it is not about the actual death to the country but rather America's way of life as it is anti-Islamic and the Mullahs seek the death of America's values. The demands that America pulls out of the region will remain. And the rest of the regime's demands will not be compromised. The Mullahs know well if they concede to the Americans, they will be finished. So it will be America who must oblige. That's what the regime is saying.

Apart from all the other negatives resulting from Obama's desire to talk to the Islamic regime which according to his own admission will take a long time - one being the giving of more valuable time to the regime to enrich uranium to the level required for making a bomb - Obama's willingness to negotiate and talk to the Islamic regime, a regime that sponsors terrorism abroad and terrorises Iranians seeking freedom at home is a departure from the international community's usual stance on terrorism. You cannot negotiate with and make concessions to those who sponsor terrorism or choose the terror method rather than a civilised manner of advocacy for their cause. If you make concessions to terrorists you encourage further future terrorism by different radical groups. You may manage to make peace with those presently terrorising for their cause but you will have also set a precedent that terrorism pays dividend if pursued persistently and rigorously.

It is these populist policies that will ensure the continuation of terrorism. I have no doubt that we shall see the sparkle in the evil eye of the terrorist at the end of Obama's adventures with the Islamic regime.
